It is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God it shall be my dying sentiment — Independence now and Independence forever. God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it. Mind is the great lever of all things; human thought is the process by which human ends are ultimately answered.

Can tell me exact loc. of death of James Livingston d. 20 July 1901. Was father of Daniel Webster Livingston?
Q. Daniel Webster Livingston served in Nebraska House of Representatives in 1927. He was the husband of Emma Schafer. A mystery surrounds the death of his father, James Livingston, a Scottish immigrant. Some sources state that he died 20 July, 1901 in America but others state that he died in November 1901 in Glasgow, Scotland. James' wife was Euphemia McLeod and she died in December, 1917.

A. The family is buried in the Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. It appears James is interred there with the rest of the family, though oddly he was buried a year and a half after the DOD you have. The body may have been moved: Contact the sexton's office to find out where he died or where his death certificate was filed.
